Description

Become a Merchant — the trader of Rune-Midgarts who buys cheap from NPC shops, sells dear, and rages with the famous Mammonite skill in battle. Everything is handled at the Merchant Guild in Alberta: file an application, pay the membership fee, and pass a simple delivery 'license test'. No monster hunting required — just carry a sealed package to the right address.

Walkthrough
  1. First reach Novice Job Level 10 and learn all the Basic Novice Skills — without this Chief Mahnsoo won't even start the conversation.
  2. Go to the city of Alberta, to the guild building (alberta_in 53,43), and talk to Chief Mahnsoo. Pick 'I want to be a Merchant' — he explains the conditions and offers you the application.
  3. Pay the membership fee: 1,000 zeny up front, or 500 zeny now and 500 more after the test. Bring the money in advance.
  4. Mahnsoo gives you a delivery task: he randomly picks a destination (Prontera, Geffen, Morocc or Byalan Island) and tells you the package's Serial Number. Remember both the city and the number. If the address is Byalan Island, he also hands you a Delivery Message for Kafra Blossom.
  5. Enter the storehouse to the right of Mahnsoo and talk to Union Staff Kay. State the correct city and Serial Number, and he hands you a sealed Delivery Box. Guard it until the end.
  6. Travel to the destination and give the package to the named recipient (Kafra Blossom in Prontera/Byalan, the Mage Guildsman in Geffen, or a student of Java Dullihan in Morocc). You receive a Voucher (receipt). On Byalan, also deliver the Delivery Message.
  7. Return to the storehouse in Alberta and give the Voucher to Union Staff Kay — he confirms your success and sends you back to Mahnsoo.
  8. Talk to Chief Mahnsoo: pay the remaining 500 zeny if you split the fee, and he changes you into a Merchant. Deliver his message and you may get a small reward.
