Hunter Job Change
Job change to Hunter — the second-class path for an Archer on the bow branch. The trial runs out of Hugel: first registration and a spoken interview with the Hunter Guildsman (Sherin), then gathering materials for The Demon Hunter, an errand from the Hunter Guildmaster in Payon, and a final practical test inside a trap maze. You must be an Archer of at least job level 40 to begin. Everything stays within pre-renewal ep11.2, no pay-to-win.
Gunslinger Job Change
Gunslinger is the firearms expanded class you change into straight from Novice (skipping First Job). Master Miller, the guild instructor on map que_ng, sends you with a letter to an old alchemist in Payon, where you gather a few simple materials and bring back a glass of milk. The easiest way to reach the guild is through Einbroch — a warp NPC near the city moves you to que_ng. A class quirk: guns and ammo can only be bought from special Gunslinger guild stores.
Dancer Job Change
The Dancer job change is the second branch of the Archer path, available only to female characters. Everything takes place in the resort town of Comodo, where a dance school has just opened. You fill out an application, gather a list of supplies for the lessons, pass an oral exam, and finally complete a dance performance test on stage. Requirements: base class Archer and Job Level 40+.
Crusader Job Change
Want to become a Crusader and prepare for the Holy War? The path runs through the Senior Crusader (Michael Halig) in Prontera Castle. First you need Swordman job level 40, then proof of your "calling" via a Chivalry Emblem and Hand of God, a gathering task, an endurance trial, a knowledge test, and a final battle. Pass it all and you earn the Crusader class.
Blacksmith Job Change
Job change to Blacksmith — the second Merchant branch, forging weapons and working metal. The quest is run by Altiregen at the Workers of Steel guild hall in Einbroch (ein_in01). To begin you must be a Merchant at job level 40 with all skill points already spent. Expect a theory exam, a materials run from NPC shops, a courier delivery of forged weapons, and a final smithing test.
Bard Job Change
The Bard job change is the second branch for male Archers. In Comodo you'll meet the wandering bard Lalo: he sings for you, asks for a flower, sends you north to Lutie to befriend the snowman Jack Frost, and finally puts you through a singing test. Perform it flawlessly and you become a Bard. You need a male Archer character at Job Level 40 or higher.
Assassin Job Change
Job change from Thief to Assassin — one of the two second-job branches of the thief, a master of poisons, dual daggers and katars. The trial takes place in the hidden Assassin Guild beneath Morocc, on the map in_moc_16. To start you must be a Thief at job level 40 with all skill points spent. You will face a written exam, a hiding test, a kill-the-targets test, and a final interview with the Guildmaster. The quest is free; no money or rare items are required.
Archer Job Change
To become an Archer you need a Novice at job level 10 with all Basic Skills learned. The class change happens at the archer guild in Payon. Instead of a fight, you gather: collect various Trunk items dropped by Willow trees, since bows are made from them. Each trunk type is worth a number of grade points; bring enough and you get the job, a bow and some arrows for the road.
Alchemist Job Change
Becoming an Alchemist — the second branch class of the Merchant, focused on brewing potions, crafting consumables and biotechnology. The trial takes place at the Alchemist Union in Al De Baran and includes an entry fee, an interview-style test, brewing simple medicine and a supply errand. To apply you need a Merchant of at least job level 40. No combat involved — just item knowledge, attention and a bit of patience.
Acolyte Job Change
Changing into an Acolyte is a short pilgrimage around Prontera. You don't gather any items: the priest sends you to visit one of his fellow ascetics praying somewhere in the fields, then come back. First you only need to prove you're ready to serve — Novice job level at least 9, with all Basic Skills learned. After the brief trip you return to the church as an Acolyte.
Super Novice Job Change
Super Novice is a special class for those who want to stay a "common man" yet become far stronger. It can wear the gear of the first classes (Swordman, Mage, Archer, Acolyte, Merchant, Thief) and use their first-rank skills, while still being a Novice at heart. The class change is handled by Tozel in the Novice Guild in Al De Baran; to join you must reach a decent level and bring some "common" materials.
